  • Played for head coach Mike Zunica – father of current Jayhawk Mateo Zunica – at Saint Rita High School in Chicago, Illinois
  • Won the regional and sectional his sophomore, junior and senior years
  • Posted a record of 9-2 with 76 strikeouts and a 1.15 ERA his junior year
  • Followed that up with an 11-2 record, 94 strikeouts and a 1.10 ERA his senior campaign
  • Won the Wayne Tomas Award in 2016
  • Named All-Chicago Catholic League Player and first-team all-state in 2017
