LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas football team worked out under the Memorial Stadium lights Thursday night for its second practice of the day and the ninth of fall camp.
Although the temperature registered at a cooler 85 degrees, the 74 percent humidity made the air inside the stadium a balmy 94.
The Jayhawks opened the session with special teams work centered on the kickoff return team. Then KU ended the night with a two-minute drill period.
Practice Quick Hits:
- Ryan Willis completed a 17-yard pass to Tyler Patrick.
- Montell Cozart tossed a pair of touchdown passes, a 30-yard heave to Austin Moses and 15-yard slash-and-go to LaQuvionte Gonzalez.
- Greg Allen, Bryce Torneden and Cameron Rosser each posted pass break ups.
- Chase Harrell hauled in a 70-yard touchdown pass from Keaton Perry.
- Taylor Martin busted loose on a 10-yard run.
- Mazin Aql recorded a quarterback sack
