Kansas men’s golf senior Gunnar Broin and KU alum Gary Woodland, the 2019 U.S. Open champion, will represent the Jayhawks at the 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, June 13-16. 

Senior Gunnar Broin advanced in a playoff Monday at U.S. Open final qualifying after he fired rounds of 65 and 68 in final qualifying at Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio. Broin punched his ticket to the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort, set for June 13-16. 

Guard Shakeel Moore, a fifth-year senior transfer from Mississippi State, has signed a financial aid agreement and will play at Kansas for the 2024-25 season, KU men’s basketball head coach Bill Self announced today.

Kansas swimming and diving seniors Ellie Howe, Addi Barnes and Eleni Kotzamanis have been named team captains for the 2024-25 season, head coach Clark Campbell announced Tuesday. 

Seven members of the Kansas Track and Field program achieved All American status for their performances at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championship at Hayward Field.

Kansas women’s golf incoming senior Johanna Ebner claimed medalist honors at the 2024 Women’s International Austrian Amateur Championship on Sunday, winning the event by seven strokes. 

Kansas Athletics and KU Leads was represented by 10 Kansas Jayhawk student-athletes and six staff members at the 2024 Black Student-Athlete Summit, hosted by the University of Southern California in Los Angeles from May 22-26.

Kansas Rowing had 13 student-athletes earn 2024 National Scholar-Athlete honors from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA)

Kansas Head Coach Jamie Bermel announced the signing of Luke Honner on Thursday, a transfer from South Dakota State with two years left of eligibility. Honner will enter the 2024-25 season as one of five newcomers on the KU roster.

The University of Kansas announced Thursday that Head Women’s Basketball Coach Brandon Schneider has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him in Lawrence through the 2027-28 season.
