Nick Collison took Kansas to back-to-back Final Fours, and saw his jersey retired at both the college and professional levels. He was a McDonald’s All-American, collegiate All-American and first round NBA draft pick.
Freshman Mackenzie Bravence came to KU from Overland Park, Kansas, and helped the Jayhawks in both freestyle and backstroke events. She placed inside the top-20 in both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events at the 2020 Big 12 Championship.
Katie McClure was born to score goals. Her knack for finding the back of the net was on display plenty during a record-setting Kansas career and now has earned her a chance to chase her professional dreams as well.
The Big 12 Conference announced the 2019-20 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team on Wednesday, with a total of 856 student-athletes earning the distinction. Kansas had 73 student-athletes on the list, and 13 of the Jayhawks’ recipients earned perfect 4.0 grade point averages in the past year.
Kansas swimming and diving was selected to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the spring 2020 semester the CSCAA announced on Tuesday. This marks the 36th-consecutive semester that the Jayhawks have been recognized by the organization.
